Day 25 – A change in plans

Today was supposed to be Stonehenge. We were both looking forward to it. I set my alarm for 6:30am so we would be up and ready to go on time. We had to be at the meeting point by 7:30am for an 8am departure time. The meeting point is 2 minutes from our hotel.

So, when I woke up at 8am we threw clothes on and raced to the meeting point only to be told the bus left 2 minutes before and we could go to Dover instead, if we wanted. Jacob was really disappointed. He was really looking forward to seeing the standing stones. I could book another tour for tomorrow BUT our problem was that tomorrow is our last full day in London and we have been saving Jacobs long awaited tour of London Stadium. If we did the Dover tour today and Stonehenge tomorrow we would miss out on the stadium.

So, we made the decision to miss out on Dover and do the stadium tour today.

So our day today started with a frantic run, followed by a visit to Westminster Abbey

Followed by a “flight” on the London Eye

Followed by a trip to Olympic Park/London Stadium

And ending at St Paul’s Cathedral

I didn’t take too many photos of St Paul’s. I was tired and just really grateful we actually got there on time. It was tight.

In the end, we had a wonderful day seeing some of the highlights of London.
