Today we decided to get out of the hustle and bustle of city life and seek the relaxing calm of the country-side. So we went to Versailles.
Due to industrial action on the public transport we had to navigate limited trains, but we managed it. We had an entry time of 10:30 to get in. We arrived at 9:15am and there was no sign of movement. They hasn’t opened the gates yet. I think they were expecting no visitors due to the strikes but arrive the tourists did. So, they hustled and opened up just in time for our entry time.
We spent a bit of time admiring the sheer opulence that is Versailles Palace before moving on to the gardens.

The gardens were the hit of the day. We spent around 5 hours wandering and exploring. And we could have spent even mote time there. Its a great way to spend a day. So fun and relaxing.

Jacob took me on a boat ride. He did really well with the rowing. He worked hard!
The musical fountain was great fun to sit and watch.
We wandered up to Marie Antoinette’s ‘little’ cottage and had anlook around. I reckon I could cope with living there. Would probably need a few reno’s to bring it up to scratch but it would be bareable.
We returned to Paris at around 7pm. Where Jacob decided we needed to go to the supermarket because he was craving pot noodles. So thats what we had for dinner.
