Our Last full day in Venice started with breakfast and no real hard plan. We decided to go see the Doge’s Palace. And we are really glad we did. What an astounding place. I don’t think I have seen anything comparable. The amount of paintings on the walls and ceilings, in just about every room, was astounding.

Room after room after room. It was very impressive.
Our day was only marred by one nosebleed (Jacob) and one public vomit (me). But we carry on.
At 5pm we had our last tour in Venice, a walking food tour (Eat like a local). It had to be the best tour we did and a great way to end our visit to Venice. We had a group of 10, made up of Jacob and I and 2 groups of Americans, all my age or older. They were such lovely people. The conversation was easy, the wine was flowing and the food was delicious. Jacob had an absolute ball. He very much impressed them with his conversational skills. They all included him in conversation and it was great to see. He has discovered a new hobby, convincing Americans to watch AFL. He tells me it was the best thing we did in Venice.
It was a late (for us) night but well worth it.
Venice is such a magical place, we will miss it very much.
