Making Memories: A Mum & Son on Tour

For our first day in Venice we had a gondola ride booked for 11am. We left our apartment and headed out to walk the half an hour to get to our tour destination. We stopped off for breakfast along the way.

Walking the streets of Venice is a fun experience. Every twist and turn, every alley way turned up different surprises. Peek down this way and see the Grand Canal, peek that way and see a shop full of masks

Beauty is everywhere. We found our tour starting point, at the fancy end of the island, right next to the Fendi store.

I think I will just post some pictures of our ride. In the end it was a relaxing and pretty boat ride but still just a boat ride.

We had a lovely time. Then we set off just exploring. And getting lost. We managed to find the same shop at least three times. To be fair, it is kinda fun getting lost here.

It started raining so we decided to get a water bus and just take a ride. We ended up getting soaked anyway but it was fun to see some more sights.

Given the weather we decided to get some dinner and head for home.

Tomorrow we are off to Murano and Burano, famous for their glass making.
